Is it possible to attain enlightenment by following a master's instructions?
❓ QUESTION:
What is enlightenment? Does it actually exist? I have heard that there are a series of instructions from a Master (Source, God), and that you become enlightened by following them. I have also heard that acting as a guide is just playing at being a "Little God." I am curious to know what you think about this.
❗️ ANSWER by lee:
We have addressed the topic of enlightenment many times. However, this is the first time I have encountered the idea that one must follow someone else's orders to achieve it. We certainly haven't tried to scratch our ears with our heels in such a convoluted way before 😊.
This smacks of Dzogchen, where "Buddhist traditions" supposedly form the basis, only for it to be revealed later that the Buddha was wrong and enlightenment is granted only by the Master's will. Naturally, it is dispensed exclusively through these "Dzog-whatever masters" or whatever they call themselves, by means of transmitting some kind of energy... Or who knows what they are really passing on, given that you won't find an enlightened person there for love or money, though there are always plenty of seekers of "transmission" at the feet of such "masters."
Enlightenment is your relationship with Yourself. And no one else.
Technically, you remove the filter of the ego and view events through the eyes of the Self (the Source)—direct awareness. This is the Heart circuit for the 3D world, where the ego is in its initial stage of formation. Enlightenment is not a reward for merit, but the evolutionary completion of the ego's formation. Once it is fully formed, the next stage of development is union with the World. That is, the ego ceases to be a boundary with the external; the world becomes One with the Personality without destroying that personality.
Then the Heart frequency becomes dominant (direct awareness), while the mind does its job—orientation and navigation in the physical world.
This process then continues through the expansion of the "I-We-Are-One" perception. In other words, this is a state of growth, not a dogma. Furthermore, the importance of the mind gradually diminishes from the role of "manager" to that of a tool, while the mind itself becomes more "precise" as focus on the Now continuously improves.
