Misi SpaceX Crew-12 berhasil diluncurkan pada hari Jumat, 13 Februari 2026, membawa empat personel internasional menuju Stasiun Luar Angkasa Internasional (ISS). Peluncuran penting ini bertujuan mengembalikan jumlah awak stasiun dari tiga menjadi tujuh orang, yang merupakan ukuran operasional standar, setelah misi Crew-11 harus kembali lebih awal pada pertengahan Januari 2026 menyusul insiden medis yang dialami salah satu astronaut.

Konteks mendesak misi ini adalah evakuasi medis pertama dalam 26 tahun sejarah ISS, yang memaksa tiga awak Crew-11 kembali pada 15 Januari 2026. Evakuasi dini tersebut meninggalkan ISS dengan awak minimal, yang terdiri dari astronaut NASA Chris Williams dan kosmonaut Roscosmos Sergey Kud-Sverchkov serta Sergei Mikayev sebagai pengawas sementara. During today's EVA, the crew will install a mod kit for the first of a pair of IROSA (Roll Out Solar Arrays), which will arrive later this year. Today's EVA will prepare the 2A power channel, with EVA 95 preparing the 3B channel.
