A flock of birds
❓QUESTION:
Lee, please tell me, how important is initiation into certain knowledge or receiving certain givens from a master? I have my own connection with the Runes. And this is clearly a tool that can help me a lot. I've heard the opinion that without initiation into this egregore, interaction can be very dangerous and is generally a violation of the rules of interaction with it. I am conscious enough not to make mistakes, and I can also receive knowledge directly from structures, egregores, and forces. Perhaps an additional master is not needed in my equation?
❗️ANSWER lee:
Initiations are necessary for the mind, not for the Human as a whole. A Human is always accompanied by higher Facets, Guides (call them what you will), which exceed any external influence on the physical level. But for the mind to believe in something, it requires a beautiful picture of the transition from "was like this" to "became like this." Then the mind allows itself to believe and use something in its practice.
The logic here is like looking at a painting and seeing, say, a plot about a forest, and then someone comes along and points a finger, saying "look at the birds, it's actually a plot about a flock of birds" — and that's it, it's impossible to "unsee" the birds. This is the logic of initiations.
When a system requires a specific mindset, then the student is taught to tune the mind before being initiated into some advanced topic. This was once the case in the Egyptian mysteries.
But topics like "initiating into an egregore" or "violating rules is dangerous" are already elements of manipulation. Well, except for obvious things, like initiation into the work of an electrician, where the work itself is directly associated with a dangerous environment. At the same time, no one around you creates mysticism — exams there must be passed strictly according to protocol.
