पेरू की राजधानी लीमा के पुएंटे पिएद्रा जिले में गैस पाइपलाइन स्थापित करते समय श्रमिकों ने एक 1,000 साल पुरानी पूर्व-हिस्पैनिक कब्र की खोज की।
कब्र में मानव अवशेष, चार मिट्टी के बर्तन और तीन कद्दू के खोल से बने कलाकृतियाँ मिलीं।
पुरातत्वविद् जोस पाब्लो अलियागा के अनुसार, बर्तनों की सजावट और रंग पूर्व-हिस्पैनिक चांके संस्कृति से संबंधित हैं, जो लगभग 1,000 से 1,470 वर्ष पुरानी मानी जाती है।
यह खोज लीमा में पुरातात्विक स्थलों की समृद्धि को दर्शाती है, जहां 400 से अधिक ज्ञात स्थल हैं।
गैस वितरण कंपनी कैलिडा ने पिछले दो दशकों में 2,200 से अधिक पुरातात्विक खोजों की सूचना दी है।
यह घटना दर्शाती है कि लीमा के आधुनिक विकास के दौरान भी प्राचीन अवशेषों की खोज संभव है।
पेरू की समृद्ध सांस्कृतिक विरासत और इतिहास के प्रति जागरूकता बढ़ाने के लिए यह खोज महत्वपूर्ण है।
