২০২৫ সালের জুলাই মাসের শেষের দিকে, পেরুর লিমার পুয়েন্তে পিএড্রা জেলায় গ্যাস পাইপলাইন স্থাপনের সময় শ্রমিকরা একটি প্রাক-হিস্পানিক সমাধির সন্ধান পান ।
আবাসিক বাড়ির দুই মিটার দূরে এই আবিষ্কারটি লিমার নিচে থাকা প্রত্নতাত্ত্বিক ঐতিহ্যকে উন্মোচন করে । ক্যালিদদার প্রত্নতত্ত্ববিদ হোসে পাবলো আলিয়াগা জানান, সমাধিস্থলটি ১০০০ থেকে ১২০০ খ্রিস্টাব্দের মধ্যে বিদ্যমান থাকা চ্যানকে সংস্কৃতির অন্তর্গত হওয়ার সম্ভাবনা রয়েছে ।
এখানে মানব দেহাবশেষ এবং শিল্পকর্ম পাওয়া গেছে । সিরামিক ও ক্রাস্টেসিয়ানদের (যেমন কাঁকড়া) অবশেষ সহ এখানকার প্রত্নতাত্ত্বিক আবিষ্কারগুলি এই জনগোষ্ঠীর দৈনন্দিন জীবন এবং অন্ত্যেষ্টিক্রিয়া সম্পর্কে তথ্য দেয় ।
সমাধিস্থলে পাওয়া মৃতদেহগুলি কাপড়ে মোড়ানো ছিল এবং তাদের সাথে কিছু আচার-অনুষ্ঠান সম্পর্কিত জিনিসপত্র ছিল ।
ক্যালিদদা গত ২০ বছরে ২,২০০টির বেশি প্রত্নতাত্ত্বিক আবিষ্কারের কথা জানিয়েছে, যার মধ্যে বেশিরভাগই চ্যানকে সংস্কৃতির ।
