Apple Fitness+ Achieves Major Global Expansion to 49 Regions, Integrating AI Dubbing Technology

Apple executed its most significant international rollout for its digital workout service, Apple Fitness+, on December 15, 2025. This strategic maneuver introduced the service to 28 new territories simultaneously. This substantial expansion elevates the total footprint of Apple Fitness+ to 49 countries and regions globally. Key markets included in this latest wave are India, the Netherlands, Poland, Chile, Hong Kong, Norway, Singapore, Taiwan, and Vietnam. Furthermore, the service is slated to arrive in Japan early in 2026.

Coinciding with this broad geographical push, Apple has rolled out a sophisticated generative AI dubbing feature for hundreds of its existing workouts and meditation sessions. This new capability initially supports Spanish and German audio tracks. Previously, users outside of English-speaking areas relied solely on subtitles to follow along with the instruction. Now, thanks to this AI integration, users can seamlessly switch audio tracks mid-session or set a preferred default language within the Fitness application. The synthesized voices are carefully modeled after the vocal profiles of the actual trainers, marking a tangible, real-world application of generative AI in content localization efforts.

A central focus during the development of this AI dubbing technology was maintaining authenticity. The system is specifically engineered to replicate the unique vocal nuances and characteristics of each individual trainer. Jay Blahnik, Apple’s Vice President of Fitness Technologies, emphasized that this fidelity is crucial. He noted that it ensures a seamless user experience, particularly when integrated with the Apple Watch metrics and AirPods Pro 3 headphones, thereby preserving the motivational core of the service which is intrinsically linked to the data provided by the Apple Watch.

Beyond the technological advancements in audio, Apple has also enriched the content library by introducing an entirely new music genre: K-Pop. This addition is now available across all workout modalities, including Cycling and Treadmill sessions. The platform, which offers 12 distinct types of workouts ranging in duration from five to 45 minutes, remains accessible across the iPhone, iPad, and Apple TV ecosystems. This recent expansion, which more than doubles the platform’s reach, clearly signals Apple’s intent to aggressively grow its subscriber base within the increasingly competitive digital fitness technology landscape.
