Science Inc., a technology firm headquartered in Japan, has initiated sales of its automated personal wellness apparatus, branded as the "human washing machine." The fully automated capsule wash system, officially named the Mirai Ningen Sentakuki, garnered significant attention following its formal presentation at the Osaka-Kansai Expo 2025. This market introduction represents an evolution in personal hygiene technology, building upon concepts first demonstrated decades earlier.

The initial commercial release is highly restricted, with production limited to an exclusive series of only 50 units. The retail price for the system is set at approximately 60 million Japanese Yen, equating to about $385,000 USD based on late 2025 currency valuations. This premium valuation positions the device for specialized commercial or luxury sector deployment rather than mass consumer adoption. The first operational unit has been acquired by a prominent Osaka hotel for integration into its guest amenity services.

Major electronics retailer Yamada Denki has confirmed an order and is scheduled to open a dedicated demonstration area showcasing the technology on December 25, 2025, offering the public its first opportunity for hands-on interaction. The technological heritage of the device traces back to a prototype exhibited at the 1970 Osaka World Expo. Science Inc. Chairman Yasuaki Aoyama cited inspiration from that original exhibition as a catalyst for developing the modern iteration. External validation for the product's market viability also came from interest expressed by a resort company based in the United States.

The automated bathing sequence inside the capsule is engineered to conclude in approximately 15 minutes. Users are situated in a reclined posture within the pod, where they can select personalized music while the system initiates cleansing via the deployment of microbubbles and a fine mist. This methodology deliberately draws inspiration from advanced laundry technology to circumvent the need for any mechanical spinning motion.

Integrated sensor arrays continuously monitor the user's physiological metrics, including real-time heart rate data. This biometric information is processed by the system's Artificial Intelligence core, which dynamically adjusts parameters such as water flow intensity, temperature regulation, and customized audio-visual settings intended to promote deep relaxation. Company spokeswoman Sachiko Maekura stated that the machine's objective extends beyond physical cleanliness, aiming to provide a cleansing experience for "not just the body but also the soul," marking a convergence of wellness technology and automation for high-end markets.
