Apple Unveils iPad Air 2026 Featuring M4 Chip and Connectivity Upgrades

Apple officially introduced the latest iteration of its mid-range tablet, the iPad Air 2026, following a presentation originating from Cupertino and London. The launch event centered on the integration of the M4 system on a chip, marking a substantial internal performance evolution for the device succeeding the iPad Air (M3). The iPad Air 2026 continues to be offered in 11-inch and 13-inch variants, with storage capacities ranging from 128 GB up to 1 TB. Pricing remains consistent with the predecessor in the U.S., starting at $599 for the 11-inch Wi-Fi model and $799 for the 13-inch Wi-Fi model. The 11-inch version maintains a maximum panel brightness of 500 nits on its Liquid Retina display, which supports P3 wide color and True Tone.

A notable aspect of the hardware package is the retention of the 60 Hz IPS panel display technology, despite the significant internal processing upgrades. This fixed refresh rate contrasts with higher-end competitor offerings that feature smoother refresh capabilities.
