As 2025 drew to a close, the fashion world eagerly awaited the annual release of influential style rankings, designed to spotlight the most significant figures and emerging trends shaping the industry.

The New York Times generated considerable buzz with its selection of the 67 Most Stylish People. This year’s list was notable for its inclusion of unexpected entries, such as the Labubu toy, sparking widespread commentary across cultural spheres.

Alongside the Labubu, the NYT roster featured prominent individuals like Jennifer Lawrence, Nicole Scherzinger, and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. From the Spanish contingent, singer Rosalía and tennis star Carlos Alcaraz earned recognition. Rosalía was lauded specifically for her visual presentation in the music video for “Berghain,” where she masterfully incorporated archival pieces. These included a dress from Nicolas Ghesquière’s tenure at Balenciaga (Spring 2004 collection) and the distinctive “rosary heels” from Alexander McQueen (Spring 2003).

Carlos Alcaraz’s inclusion stemmed from a noticeable image shift following his victory at the 2025 US Open, which propelled him back to the world number one ranking in tennis. His style statement was marked by a bold decision to dye his hair platinum blonde.

International acclaim also went to Indian cinema icon Shah Rukh Khan. He was celebrated for his debut appearance at the Met Gala, where he wore an ensemble designed by Sabyasachi Mukherjee. His outfit skillfully blended traditional Indian aesthetics with the “Black Dandy” styling ethos, featuring a tailcoat crafted from Tasmanian super-fine wool and custom jewelry accented with a pendant shaped like the letter “K.”

A$AP Rocky secured his place on the list following his appointment as the new Global Ambassador for Chanel. This role marked a significant milestone, as he became the first African American man to hold the position, solidifying his ongoing creative partnership with the brand’s creative director, Matthieu Blazy.

Concurrently, the British edition of Vogue released its inaugural list highlighting the 50 most stylishly dressed personalities of 2025. Figures such as Princess Kate, Kate Moss, and Victoria Beckham were grouped together under the designation of “Timeless Influencers.” Princess Kate’s presence was specifically attributed to her return to high-profile public engagements throughout 2025, following her cancer treatment the previous year. The magazine highlighted her continued ability to steer brand trajectories, a phenomenon now commonly referred to as the “Kate Effect.”
