The Fashion Revolution Week Magdeburg 2025 will take place from April 23rd to 30th. The event emphasizes fairly produced and sustainable fashion. This marks the third time the Elbe city will host the event.
The week features workshops, panel discussions, a film screening, and a clothing swap party. The film "Ein Traum in Erdbeerfolie" about the East Berlin fashion scene in the 80s will be shown. The event aims to inspire people to be more aware of their clothing and its origins.
Various workshops include jewelry making from recycled paper and felt. There will also be an exhibition showcasing textiles as creative material. Upcycling workshops for DIY fans and climbing rope upcycling are also scheduled.
Additional activities include a clothing swap party with a concert, and workshops on upcycling with natural indigo. Consultations on upcycling and color usage in wardrobes will be available. A reading with the Fashion Changers will discuss how fair fashion can change the world.
