On January 20, 2025, Donald Trump was inaugurated as the 47th president of the United States. In the lead-up to his inauguration, Trump hosted a rally at Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C., featuring performances by the Village People, Kid Rock, and other celebrities.

During the event, actor Jon Voight praised Trump, declaring his election victory as the 'greatest win of all time.' Voight, along with Sylvester Stallone and Mel Gibson, was appointed by Trump as his 'special ambassadors' to Hollywood.

Trump's rally also included a performance of 'Y.M.C.A.' by the Village People, a song that has been associated with Trump's campaign since 2020. Despite past objections to its use, Village People frontman Victor Willis stated that he allowed Trump to continue using the song due to its financial benefits and his belief in music's apolitical nature.

As Trump embarks on his second term, he aims to revitalize Hollywood and restore its business, which he claims has diminished over the past four years.
