EU Investment Bank Strengthens Support for Ukraine's Infrastructure and Energy Security

On November 7, 2024, a meeting focused on strategic cooperation between Ukraine and the European Investment Bank (EIB) addressed investments in critical infrastructure and funding for economic recovery projects in Ukraine. The discussions emphasized the need to enhance energy security and restore transportation and logistics infrastructure connecting Ukraine with the European Union.

The EIB expressed its readiness to support projects that will contribute to Ukraine's energy independence and the modernization of key infrastructure facilities.

Additionally, the meeting included discussions on the EIB's involvement in the EU Ukraine Facility program, which amounts to €50 billion.

Furthermore, the Ukrainian government approved a draft decree by President Volodymyr Zelensky that will enable the mobilization of over €17 million from the EIB for the development of urban transport in Ukraine.
