The Horrors Unveil New Single and Album Release Plans

The Horrors have announced the upcoming release of their sixth studio album, titled Night Life, set to launch on March 21 through Fiction Records. This album follows their 2021 EPs, Lout and Against The Blade, as well as their 2017 full-length album V. The production of Night Life was helmed by Yves Rothman, with recording sessions taking place in both Los Angeles and London.

In conjunction with the album announcement, the band has released a new single titled The Silence That Remains. This track showcases a gothic soundscape characterized by skittering percussion, glacial guitars, and droning industrial synths. The eerie duet between frontman Faris Badwan and new keyboardist Amelia Kidd adds a unique dimension to the song.

The Horrors are entering a new phase with this release, as the band now consists of a core duo, Badwan and Webb, along with Kidd and drummer Jordan Cook from Telegram. The album notably marks the first time the group has not included all five original members. The band described the single as a reflective journey through the city at night, signifying the beginning of a new chapter in their musical journey.

To promote Night Life, The Horrors have scheduled a series of intimate UK shows from November 27 to December 14, with performances in cities including Bedford, London, and Manchester. Tickets for these shows will go on general sale starting at 10 am on October 11.
