Two new mummies, named Paloma and Antonio, have been discovered in the Nazca Desert, Peru, reigniting debates about their origins. Found by journalist and ufologist Jaime Maussan, these mummies share distinct features with previous finds, including three fingers and small slanted eyes.

Dr. David Ruiz Vela, a former president of the Medical Association of Peru, analyzed the mummies and noted humanoid organs with a visible brain structure. He reported that Antonio had a knife wound in his chest, while Paloma had hair, a first among these mummies. Both are estimated to be around 1,500 years old.

Researchers suggest the bodies may have been preserved by algae and a highly toxic adhesive not known in that era. Maussan has presented numerous such bodies, claiming they are evidence of extraterrestrial beings that once walked the Earth, although experts remain skeptical, asserting they are likely manipulated dolls.

In 2018, independent analyses concluded that earlier mummies were modified pre-Columbian remains. However, the latest findings show significant differences in facial features, sizes, and injuries. Dr. Ruiz Vela stated that Antonio's injury penetrated his ribcage affecting vital organs.

Journalist Jois Mantilla, advocating for the mummies' authenticity, hinted at revealing more in 2025 about their secret discovery site, previously concealed to protect against looters. Notably, earlier mummies had four different DNA types, including human, two from African monkeys, and an unknown type, which might explain the three-fingered characteristic.
