Ariana Grande's hit song "7 Rings" has achieved diamond certification in the United States, marking a significant milestone in her career. The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) certified the track diamond on February 14, signifying that it has moved at least 10 million equivalent units in America alone. This includes both pure purchases and streaming equivalents from platforms like Spotify and Apple Music.
"7 Rings" initially earned its first RIAA certification in June 2020, jumping straight to five-times platinum. By March of the following year, it had advanced to nine-times platinum, and now, it has surpassed the 10 million unit threshold to achieve diamond status.
This achievement doubles Grande's total number of diamond-certified singles in the U.S. "7 Rings" joins "Bang Bang," her collaboration with Jessie J and Nicki Minaj, in this exclusive group. Several other of Grande's songs, including "Thank U, Next" and "Problem" (with Iggy Azalea), are currently at eight-times platinum, while "No Tears Left to Cry" and "Side to Side" (another collaboration with Minaj) have reached six million equivalent units.
"7 Rings" was released in January 2019 as the second single from her album Thank U, Next. The song debuted at No. 1 on the Hot 100, solidifying its status as a chart-topping success.
