Turkey Offers to Host Further Russia-Ukraine Talks in Istanbul

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan stated Turkey's readiness to host further talks between Russia and Ukraine. The aim is to find a resolution to the ongoing conflict.

Fidan made these remarks during a joint press conference with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov in Moscow. He had also met with Russian President Vladimir Putin earlier.

Fidan emphasized the importance of Turkey-Russia relations for regional stability. He also highlighted Russia's preference for Istanbul as a venue for direct talks with Ukraine.

He noted discussions with Putin included previous negotiations in Istanbul. Turkey expressed its willingness to contribute to future negotiations.

Fidan also addressed the Akkuyu nuclear power plant construction. He stressed the importance of uninterrupted natural gas supplies from Russia to Turkey.
