Russia and Ukraine to hold further peace talks in Istanbul

Russia and Ukraine are preparing to hold another round of peace talks in Istanbul. This follows discussions between Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and Russian officials in Moscow. The aim is to find a way to end the conflict.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated that Russia has prepared a memorandum outlining its position. This document addresses the root causes of the crisis. The Russian delegation is ready to present this to the Ukrainian delegation.

US President Donald Trump expressed disappointment over the escalation of attacks during negotiations. He is holding off on new sanctions to avoid interfering with peace efforts. Trump expects clarity on Russia's sincerity within two weeks.
