India Launches Ayushsuraksha Portal for Traditional Medicine Oversight

Edited by: Tetiana Pinchuk Pinchuk

India's Ministry of Ayush has launched the AyushSuraksha portal. The online platform aims to strengthen consumer protection in traditional medicine. It will also enhance regulatory oversight.

The portal will monitor misleading advertisements and adverse drug reactions. It empowers citizens and professional agencies to ensure accountability. The public can now actively participate in safeguarding the integrity of Ayush systems.

AyushSuraksha enables real-time monitoring and systematic analysis. It facilitates coordinated action among regulatory bodies. This includes State Licensing Authorities and national pharmacovigilance centers.

The portal was developed following a Supreme Court order. It aligns with the National Pharmacovigilance Program. The Central Council for Research in Siddha (CCRS) provided technical support.
