Arab League Launches Ibn Battuta Prize for Diplomacy

The Arab League has launched the Ibn Battuta Prize for Diplomacy, Peace, and Development. The announcement was made during a special ceremony at the Arab League headquarters. The event was attended by diplomats, intellectuals, and representatives of international organizations. Ambassador Ahmed Rashid Khattabi, Assistant Secretary-General and Head of Media and Communication, delivered a speech. He conveyed the greetings of Arab League Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul Gheit. Khattabi acknowledged the university's initiative to establish the Ibn Battuta Prize. Khattabi highlighted the university's appreciation for establishing the prize. He emphasized that launching the award is a tribute to its outstanding contributions. These contributions enhance dialogue, democracy, and peace at the regional and international levels.
