Geneva, June 12, 2025 - The International Labour Organization (ILO) hosted a meeting of the Global Coalition for Social Justice during its 113th session.
The Coalition, which includes governments, worker and employer organizations, and NGOs, aims to address urgent challenges related to social justice and sustainable development.
Key topics included the right to a decent wage, social dialogue, and the role of responsible businesses in creating quality jobs and inclusive growth.
Particular emphasis was placed on the importance of collective bargaining and the interaction of all stakeholders – governments, trade unions, employers, and NGOs – to promote social reforms and create sustainable development models that contribute to the fair distribution of resources and the protection of workers' rights.
This coalition serves as a platform for coordinating efforts at the international level, contributing to the fight against economic inequality and ensuring social protection in the face of global changes in the labor market.
