During South Korean President Lee Jae-myung’s state visit to Hanoi in April 2026, 73 cooperation agreements were signed between the two nations' companies and government agencies at the Vietnam-Korea Economic Forum.
These documents span a wide range of sectors, including energy, finance, technology, electronics, telecommunications, manufacturing, infrastructure, trade, and tourism.
Many of the signed agreements focus on specific, actionable projects rather than being merely symbolic in nature.
Key areas of collaboration include the supply of power equipment, the advancement of digital and telecom technologies, and the involvement of Korean firms in infrastructure construction and modernization, alongside the expansion of industrial goods and services trade.
Vietnam and South Korea continue to grow their bilateral trade volume and deepen their integration within global supply chains.
This partnership provides Vietnam with access to advanced technologies and corporate expertise from Korean companies, while offering South Korea entry into Vietnamese markets and production capacities.
Amid global trade volatility, both nations are prioritizing bilateral and regional economic and investment frameworks.
