Hitachi Energy Powers China's Green Hydrogen Project with Advanced Transformers

Edited by: an_lymons vilart

Date: Recent. Location: Songyuan, China. Hitachi Energy has delivered rectifier transformers to China Energy Engineering Corporation (CEEC) for a green hydrogen industry park.

The transformers support hydrogen production from renewable energy sources, specifically wind and solar power. This project aims to build a 3-gigawatt (GW) new energy facility in phases. The produced hydrogen will be used to synthesize ammonia and methanol.

Hitachi Energy's rectifier transformers feature a compact structure, low losses, and high stability. They provide excellent harmonic resistance and current impact resistance, ensuring safe, reliable, and cost-effective hydrogen production. The project is expected to produce 800,000 tons of green synthetic ammonia and methanol annually.
