Huawei to Launch Mate XTs on September 4, Featuring Advanced Foldable Technology
Edited by: Tetiana Pin
Huawei is set to unveil its latest foldable smartphone, the Mate XTs, on September 4, 2025, in China. This new device aims to push the boundaries of mobile technology with a refined triple-folding screen design, offering an expansive 10.2-inch display when fully unfurled.
The Mate XTs will be powered by the Kirin 9020 processor, complemented by the Maleoon 920 GPU, ensuring robust performance. A key feature is the inclusion of satellite connectivity, underscoring Huawei's commitment to advanced communication capabilities. The device is also expected to boast a significant camera upgrade, featuring a 50MP main sensor with a variable aperture and Huawei's "Red Maple" technology for enhanced color reproduction, along with an improved periscope telephoto lens for superior zoom.
Further enhancing the user experience, the Mate XTs will support stylus functionality, positioning it as a versatile tool for professionals and creatives. The innovative Tiangong Hinge System is engineered for increased durability and a smoother folding experience, minimizing the appearance of the display crease.
Building on the success of its predecessor, the Mate XT, which achieved over 500,000 sales, analysts anticipate the Mate XTs could reach one million units sold. The new foldable is expected to launch with a starting price of 15,000 yuan (approximately $2,060 USD), a notable reduction from the Mate XT's launch price of 19,999 yuan (approximately $2,750 USD). This strategic pricing aims to broaden the appeal of Huawei's foldable technology in the competitive global market.
