2025 Giamaro Katla: Italian Hypercar Unveiled with 2,127 Horsepower

Edited by: Tetiana Pinchuk Pinchuk

Giamaro Automobili, a new Italian hypercar brand, has revealed its first project: the Katla hypercar. Based in Italy's Motor Valley, the Katla features a 7.0-liter V12 engine with four turbochargers, delivering up to 2,127 horsepower. The company also gave a first look at the Albor, a rally-inspired hypercar.

The Katla's design emphasizes aerodynamics, achieving a Cx of 0.33 and incorporating an active aerodynamic system with a mobile rear wing. The interior is designed for high-speed driving, featuring a low, set-back seat position and an aeronautical-style dashboard. The car weighs 3,197 lbs (1,450 kg) due to its carbon fiber monocoque.

The car has a 7-speed, electromechanically operated transaxle gearbox paired with a mechanical self-locking differential. Giamaro plans to produce only 30 Katla cars per year, allowing for extensive customization. Depending on the key used, the power output can be adjusted from 800 hp to 1,647 hp, or the full 2,127 hp.
