South Korea and Amazon to Build $5.13 Billion AI Data Center

Ulsan, South Korea – SK Group and Amazon Web Services (AWS) are jointly investing around $5.13 billion to build South Korea's largest AI data center.

Construction is scheduled to start in September 2025, with full operation expected by 2029. The initial capacity will be 100 megawatts, with plans to expand to one gigawatt.

The project aims to establish Ulsan as a global AI hub, boosting AI-related stocks and positively impacting the KOSPI index.
