Meta has teamed up with Oakley to release the Oakley Meta HSTN, a new line of AI-powered smart glasses. These glasses are designed specifically for athletes and mark a significant expansion in Meta's wearable tech market.
The Oakley Meta HSTN features a high-resolution camera, open-ear speakers, and water resistance. Integrated with Meta AI, the glasses provide real-time information and hands-free functionality. Users can monitor performance metrics and environmental conditions during activities.
The limited-edition Oakley Meta HSTN will be available for pre-order starting July 11, 2025, priced at $499. Additional models will launch later this summer, starting at $399. Initially, the glasses will be available in North America, Australia, and select European countries. Expansion to Mexico, India, and the United Arab Emirates is planned by the end of the year.
The glasses offer up to eight hours of typical use and up to 19 hours on standby on a full charge. Fast-charging capabilities allow the battery to reach 50% in nearly 20 minutes. The included charging case provides up to 48 hours of power.
The glasses feature an Ultra HD (3K) video camera. The integrated Meta AI assistant supports various functions, from monitoring performance to checking environmental conditions.
