The Maggie Pills Drop New Single 'Velobell' with Captivating Music Video and Launch Show

Edited by: Inna Horoshkina One

Naarm/Melbourne-based punk rock band The Maggie Pills have released their new single, 'Velobell'. The track was produced and co-mixed by Mario Perez, recorded and mixed by Brad Jackson, and mastered by Grammy-winning engineer Emerson Mancini.

'Velobell' features a discordant chord progression and lead singer Delfi Sorondo's vocals. The song includes grungy guitars, basslines, and drums, building to an explosive chorus. The song's inspiration is a message of resilience, addressing moments of losing oneself and the refusal to let go.

The release is accompanied by a music video directed by Mario Perez, filmed by Ryan Cara, and edited by Sam Mapplebeck. The video, set in a dark forest, complements the audio production, creating a dreamlike atmosphere. The band celebrated the release with a launch show at the John Curtin Hotel on June 13, 2025.
