Kraft Heinz to Phase Out Artificial Colors in US Products

Edited by: Olga Samsonova

Kraft Heinz announced it will immediately cease launching products with artificial colors in the United States.

The company aims to eliminate synthetic dyes from existing items by the end of 2027.

Nearly 90% of Kraft Heinz's U.S. product net sales are already free of artificial colors.

This decision follows plans by Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to remove synthetic food dyes from the U.S. food supply.

Kraft Heinz will remove dyes where possible or replace them with natural colors.

The company will also reinvent products with new colors if natural replacements are unavailable.

Kraft Heinz is also encouraging its brand licensees to remove artificial colors.
