The Italian film 'There's Still Tomorrow,' directed by Paola Cortellesi, has been awarded the Best Film honor at the second annual Golden Panda Awards in Chengdu, China. The ceremony celebrated international cultural exchange through cinema and television, with an estimated 600 million viewers worldwide tuning in.

Paola Cortellesi, in a video message, expressed that cinema has the power to connect people across borders, languages, and cultures. This award adds to the film's previous accolades, including Italy's Golden Globe and David di Donatello awards, following its 2023 release. The film's distribution in China by Unknown Pleasures Pictures signifies a growing interest in Italian cinema within the Chinese market.

The Golden Panda Awards, a biennial event, aims to foster mutual learning and cultural dialogue. The second edition saw a significant global participation, with 5,343 entries submitted from 126 countries and regions, 73.2% of which were international productions. 'There's Still Tomorrow' competed against notable films such as Christopher Nolan's 'Oppenheimer' and Wim Wenders' 'Perfect Days'.

'There's Still Tomorrow' is a period comedy-drama set in post-war Rome, inspired by Cortellesi's grandmother's experiences. The film explores women's struggles for rights in a patriarchal society, touching on themes of domestic violence and traditional gender roles with a blend of emotional depth and dark humor. Cortellesi, who also stars in the film, is a well-known figure in Italian entertainment, making her directorial debut with this project.
