The Valentino Garavani and Giancarlo Giammetti Foundation presents 'Orizzonti | Rosso,' an exhibition celebrating the color red through fashion and art. Held at PM23 in Rome's Piazza Mignanelli, the exhibition, running from Sunday to the end of September, embodies the principle of 'Beauty creates Beauty.'
The exhibit showcases fifty Valentino archive dresses in dialogue with thirty contemporary artworks. Valentino defines red as a color of life, passion, and a remedy against sadness, reflecting its powerful significance.
Highlights include 'Fiesta' from 1959, the first red dress with tulle roses, displayed alongside Picasso's 'Le Repos' from 1932. The exhibition also features a 2011 haute couture dress with a tulle train and ostrich feather embroidery, demonstrating the enduring appeal of red in Valentino's designs.
