Disney has officially announced that 'The Devil Wears Prada 2,' the highly anticipated sequel to the 2006 hit, is slated for release on May 1, 2026. The film will see the return of producer Wendy Finerman and screenwriter Aline Brosh McKenna.

While no official cast confirmations have been made, reports suggest that Meryl Streep and Emily Blunt are expected to reprise their roles. Stanley Tucci has also expressed interest in returning. The sequel will reportedly explore Miranda Priestly's navigation of the decline in magazine publishing, facing off against Emily Charlton, now a powerful executive, for advertising revenue.

The original film, based on Lauren Weisberger's novel inspired by Anna Wintour, grossed over $326 million globally and earned Streep an Oscar nomination. The sequel aims to capture the nostalgia of the original while exploring modern themes of power and relevance in the digital age.
