US Congress Demands 46 UFO Videos from Department of War by April 14

Members of the United States Congress, acting through the House Task Force on the Declassification of Federal Secrets under the Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, have formally requested that the Department of War (DoW) provide 46 specific military video recordings concerning Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP).

Task Force Chairwoman Representative Anna Paulina Luna (R-Fla.) issued the formal demand on March 31, 2026. In her communication, she emphasized that the presence of UAP in sensitive U.S. military airspace poses a direct threat to the readiness and safety of American forces. This request stems from an ongoing investigation launched after the September 9, 2025, hearings titled "Restoring Public Trust Through Transparency Regarding UAP and Whistleblower Protection."

During the September 9, 2025, hearings, insider witnesses—including journalists and Air Force veterans—testified that the All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO) possesses undisclosed video recordings related to UAP. Representative Luna has previously criticized the Pentagon and the intelligence community for a "lack of transparency" regarding access to UAP footage and incident files, arguing that the American public does not need the "reality" hidden from them.

The requested package includes 45 previously unreleased military clips. According to reports, some of these contain footage from satellite imagery, thermal sensors, and underwater cameras, showing Unidentified Submerged Objects (USOs) maneuvering near classified U.S. submarines. Notable file titles include "UFO in Formation Over Persian Gulf," "UAP Near Columbus Airport," and the "2021 Syrian UAP Instantaneous Acceleration" clip, which depicts an object exhibiting capabilities for rapid acceleration unknown to modern science.

The Luna-led task force was established under a broader mandate that includes investigating matters related to the assassinations of John F. Kennedy, Robert F. Kennedy, and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., as well as the origins of COVID-19. Within the context of UAP, the group's work aims to counter decades of government disinformation. Congress has set an April 14 deadline for the Department of War to turn over all video materials as part of accountability efforts.

The political backdrop of the request includes recent statements from February 14, 2026, by former President Barack Obama, who remarked that "they [aliens] are real," although he had not seen them himself and did not believe they were being held at Area 51. Meanwhile, Representative Luna has previously suggested that "aliens" might actually be "interdimensional beings." These congressional actions reflect sustained bipartisan pressure on federal agencies to disclose information regarding phenomena that exceed known technological capabilities.
