Recent Archaeological Discoveries in Van's Ancient City

Recent archaeological excavations in Van's ancient city have unveiled significant findings that shed light on the region's rich history. Led by Van Yüzüncü Yıl University, the team has uncovered various artifacts and structures, including storage jars, ceramic plates, and glass fragments, offering insights into the daily life of past inhabitants. These discoveries highlight the area's importance as a cultural and commercial center.

Restoration efforts are underway to preserve historical landmarks such as the Grand Mosque, Kızıl Minaret, and Husrev Pasha Inn. The project aims to revitalize the area and enhance tourism potential by restoring these sites to their former glory. The excavation also revealed a stone-paved Ottoman road leading to the Twin Baths, further emphasizing the city's rich infrastructure.
