Google Removed 247.4 Million Ads and Suspended 2.9 Million Accounts in India in 2024

Google's 2024 Ads Safety Report indicates a significant crackdown on policy violations in India, leading to the removal of 247.4 million ads and the suspension of 2.9 million advertiser accounts.

The report highlights the top five policy violations in India as financial services, trademark infringements, ad network abuse, personalized advertising issues, and gambling/games related content.

On a global scale, Google took down 5.1 billion harmful ads. The most frequent violation was 'abusing the ad network' (793.1 million ads), followed by trademark violations (503.1 million ads).
