It remains uncertain whether key parties involved in the potential TikTok sale are taking Amazon's bid seriously. President Trump is expected to discuss a proposal for TikTok's US investors to take majority control of a spun-off version of the company. Trump has until Saturday to find an acceptable buyer for TikTok after issuing an executive order delaying enforcement of a federal law that banned the app unless ByteDance divested.
