The Indonesian Ministry of Creative Economy (Kemenekraf) is actively fostering youth engagement and cultural preservation through various initiatives aimed at strengthening the nation's creative economy.
In January 2025, Kemenekraf collaborated with Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII) to develop innovative programs that highlight Indonesia's cultural heritage. This partnership seeks to maintain TMII's identity as a cultural icon while enhancing its appeal to visitors. The collaboration includes events such as a special Pokémon Go event featuring traditional batik designs, aiming to integrate modern technology with cultural traditions.
Additionally, Kemenekraf is supporting the Indonesiana Fund Program 2025, which allocates approximately Rp 465 billion from a Rp 5 trillion endowment fund to over 1,000 beneficiaries, including individuals, communities, and cultural institutions. This program is designed to advance cultural heritage, arts, and creative innovations, with the goal of generating significant economic, social, and diplomatic impacts. The funding supports various activities, including cultural entrepreneurship, restoration of cultural artifacts, and production of cultural events.
These efforts underscore Indonesia's commitment to empowering its youth and preserving its rich cultural heritage, positioning the nation as a dynamic hub for creative innovation.
