Selvaggia Lucarelli, a prominent Italian journalist and writer, has arrived in Sanremo with a clear message: "Sanremo, I'm not afraid of you." Lucarelli, a fixture on the DopoFestival, the post-Sanremo show hosted by Alessandro Cattelan, has already made her presence felt with a series of pointed remarks.
Lucarelli, known for her sharp wit and outspoken nature, took to social media to detail her preparations for the festival, playfully suggesting she was ready to take on any role, from host to international guest. Upon arriving in Sanremo, she quipped, "It feels like Roccaraso," referring to a popular Italian ski resort, a subtle jab at the festival's often-overblown atmosphere.
The first target of Lucarelli's barbs was Fedez, her long-time nemesis. She shared a photo of a figure behind a window overlooking the Glass, the venue for the DopoFestival, and wrote, "Mercenary sniper hired by a well-known singer to welcome me." The reference to Fedez, who is competing in this year's Sanremo, was unmistakable.
However, Lucarelli also expressed her admiration for Jovanotti, her musical idol, who was rehearsing at the Ariston Theatre during her arrival. "The second Lorenzo of great importance in my life," she wrote, referring to her partner, chef Lorenzo Biagiarelli, as the first Lorenzo.
Cattelan, the DopoFestival host, has confirmed that Lucarelli will be a regular cast member, adding that he invited her before knowing Fedez would be participating. He has also stated that he has no intention of censoring any of his guests, including Fedez, whom he considers a friend.
"Fedez is a friend of mine, and I've known him for years. I like him, of course I'll invite him. The controversies? I don't naturally engage in polemics, I desecrate. And I've done X Factor with Morgan: I've earned my stripes with controversies. I think Selvaggia and Fedez don't like each other, but on the show, everyone will have the freedom to say what they want. I certainly won't give Selvaggia any advice; I invited her to the show, I'd be crazy to censor her," Cattelan said in an interview with "Il Messaggero."
Anna Dello Russo, a fashion journalist, will also be a regular cast member, offering commentary on the outfits of the Sanremo stars. Alessandra Celentano, a Mediaset personality, is also rumored to be among the guests.
Giulia De Lellis, an influencer, was initially slated to join the DopoFestival but has reportedly been dropped due to controversies surrounding her relationship with Tony Effe. "Yellow and a change in course at the DopoFestival," wrote Gabriele Parpiglia on Instagram. "Instead of Giulia De Lellis to comment on the singers' looks, there will be Anna Dello Russo. It seems that the controversies surrounding her partner Tony Effe were 'fatal' for De Lellis... and consequently, Rai has chosen to focus on a 'neutral' and experienced face like Anna Dello Russo. The Festival (at the moment) of gossip continues... far from the music."
