The Critics Choice Awards, often considered a strong indicator of Oscar potential, will take place this Friday, January 7th, and brings hope for recognition for Brazilian audiovisual productions. The 30th edition of the awards features two Brazilian productions among the nominees: the film "Still Here" and the series "Senna."

"Still Here," directed by Walter Salles and starring Fernanda Torres, is nominated for Best Foreign Language Film. "Senna," produced by Netflix, is nominated for Best International Series. In Brazil, the ceremony will be broadcast on the pay-TV channel TNT and on the streaming platform Max, starting at 9pm.

The ceremony, which was postponed twice due to wildfires in Los Angeles, California, will finally take place, highlighting productions like "Conclave" and "Wicked," both nominated in 11 categories.
