Innovative Architectural Projects and Exhibitions Highlight Progress in Contemporary Design

On October 19, the Inhotim Institute will unveil three new exhibitions, featuring works by renowned artists including Pipilotti Rist, Rebeca Carapiá, and Rivane Neuenschwander. Rist's immersive installation 'Homo sapiens sapiens' (2005), originally showcased at the Venice Biennale, transforms architectural spaces into sensory experiences, exploring themes of nature and the human body.

In South Tyrol, Kunst Meran Merano Arte is set to present the fourth edition of 'Recent Architectures in South Tyrol', showcasing 28 selected projects from over 240 submissions. This initiative aims to analyze the architectural landscape of the region, emphasizing sustainable building practices and the integration of contemporary designs with historical contexts. Notable projects include the renovation of a medieval building in Glorenza and the new Pacherhof winery, which harmoniously blends architecture with the natural environment.

The exhibition seeks to provoke discussions around the identity of South Tyrolean architecture, focusing on the careful use of materials and the social impact of architectural interventions. The event will take place at Kunst Meran, open from Tuesday to Saturday, 10 AM to 6 PM.
