Wolf Moon to Shine Brightly on January 13, 2025

编辑者: Vera Mo

The first full moon of 2025, known as the Wolf Moon, will reach its peak on January 13, with visibility at 99.85% the following night.

Optimal viewing times will vary by country, as indicated by the National Geographic Institute. Experts recommend finding locations away from light pollution and visual obstructions, such as trees or buildings. Using binoculars or telescopes can enhance the viewing experience.

Additionally, 2025 will witness a unique planetary alignment. The Wolf Moon is expected to be particularly bright, marking a significant event for astronomy enthusiasts.

Notably, a rare icy body, visible once every 160,000 years, will also be observable. However, spotting this comet will be challenging without ideal sky conditions. In the northern hemisphere, it will only be visible briefly after sunset on January 13.
