知名網紅兼摔角選手羅根·保羅（Logan Paul）再次震撼收藏界。在 2026 年 2 月 16 日圓滿落幕的 Goldin Auctions 拍賣會上，他成功以 16,492,000 美元的驚人價格售出了極其稀有的「皮卡丘插畫師」（Pikachu Illustrator）寶可夢卡。這項成交紀錄正式確立了該卡片作為公開拍賣史上最昂貴收藏卡的地位，打破了先前由同一張卡片所保持的紀錄。

這張珍貴的卡片由皮卡丘的原創設計師西田敦子（Atsuko Nishida）親自操刀，是目前已知唯一獲得 PSA Gem Mint 10 完美評分的鑑定品。保羅最初是在 2021 年透過私人交易以 527.5 萬美元購入此卡，當時便已創下金氏世界紀錄。此次轉手在扣除相關佣金前，為他帶來了超過 700 萬美元的利潤，充分顯示出頂級收藏資產市場的強勁增長勢頭。

「皮卡丘插畫師」卡片的歷史背景極其特殊，它從未在擴充包中公開發售，而是專門贈予 1997 年至 1998 年間由日本雜誌《快樂快樂月刊》（CoroCoro Comic）舉辦的插畫大賽獲勝者。雖然官方最初僅分發了 39 張，但目前已知的存世量為 41 張。這張卡片的獨特性在於其右下角的鋼筆圖標，且卡面上標註的是「Illustrator」（插畫師）而非一般的「Trainer」（訓練家）。
這場位於紐澤西州的 Goldin Auctions 拍賣會共歷時 41 天。最終落槌價為 1,330 萬美元，加上買家佣金後總計達 1,649.2 萬美元。買家斯卡拉穆奇擁有豐富的業界背景，曾任職於 Google、Tesla 及創新工場（Sinovation Ventures），並共同創立了 Radial Health。他表示，此次收購是一項名為「Treasure Trove」更廣泛計畫的一部分，旨在蒐集更多具有歷史價值的珍稀文物。
