These funds are derived from income tax declarations where taxpayers chose to donate 5 per mille of their income. The Italian Revenue Agency reported that 154,195 taxpayers in Bergamo directed their contributions to local entities. This collective effort has created a substantial fund dedicated to solidarity-based initiatives.
