Edited by: Inna Horoshkina One

Canadian synthpop duo Purity Ring has unveiled two new songs, marking their first release in two years. The tracks, titled "MANY LIVES" and "PART II," are available now. This release comes via the band's independent imprint, the fellowship.

"MANY LIVES" incorporates drum and bass elements, complemented by Megan James' vocals. "PART II" serves as an outro, featuring a choir, guitar, and synths. The accompanying music video, directed by Mike Sunday, depicts avatar versions of the duo on a quest, drawing inspiration from games like Final Fantasy X and NieR: Automata.

The duo described the new songs as the core of their recent work. They expressed excitement about their current musical endeavors, highlighting a sense of vastness and possibility in their creative process. Purity Ring's previous album, Womb, was released in 2020.
