The band Shame has revealed details of their upcoming album, titled 'Cutthroat.' The South London five-piece collaborated with Grammy-winning producer John Congleton on the record. The album was previewed on June 4th at Brixton Jamm and is scheduled for release on September 25th.
'Cutthroat' is intended to be a bold statement from the band, with frontman Charlie Steen expressing the album's focus on societal issues. The band also incorporated electronic music elements, experimenting with sounds previously considered outside their typical style. Guitarist Sean Coyle-Smith noted that the band embraced a more open approach to sound creation.
The album's title track, 'Cutthroat,' offers a glimpse into the album's themes. Shame will embark on a European tour later this year, beginning in Paris on September 28th. The tour will span six weeks, including various cities before concluding in the UK.
