Minor earthquake detected in Carpathian region

A minor earthquake with a magnitude of 2.0 on the Richter scale was recorded in the Carpathian region on May 31st. The earthquake occurred at a depth of 5 kilometers.

The event was reported by the Main Center for Special Control. According to the center, earthquakes of this magnitude are generally imperceptible. They are only detectable by seismographs.

The epicenter was located in a mountainous area near the Romanian border. No damage or injuries were reported.
