Love Island Star Samie Elishi Condemns Online Trolls After Receiving 'Disgusting Messages'

Love Island's Samie Elishi has spoken out against online trolls, sharing her distress over the 'disgusting messages' she has been receiving. Elishi posted a poignant tribute to Caroline Flack, the former Love Island host who tragically passed away in 2020, highlighting the devastating impact of online abuse on mental health.

"A beautiful woman was lost due to mental health and I'm seeing some of the vile messages my friends in this industry are receiving (including myself)," Elishi wrote, emphasizing that reality stars are not "fictional characters" and that their internal struggles are often unseen.

She urged those sending hateful messages to feel ashamed and to reconsider their actions. "Everyone taking time to send these disgusting messages should be ashamed, it's not too late to apologise and take back your 'heat of the moment' comments. Be a better person today."

Elishi concluded with a powerful message of kindness: "In a world where you can be ANYTHING be KIND. Don't be naïve and quick to forget how your words impact people's lives."

Elishi's plea comes shortly after her appearance on Love Island All Stars, where a love triangle involving Luca Bish and Grace Jackson played out. Fellow contestant Kaz Crossley revealed that Luca had previously messaged Samie on Instagram, adding fuel to the drama. Crossley also admitted to informing Luca that Samie found him attractive, further complicating the situation.

Elishi's brave stance against online bullying underscores the importance of mental health awareness and responsible online behavior.
