The short film category saw the Golden Tanit awarded to Sudanese director Ibrahim Omar's 'Nothing Will Happen After That.'

Syrian actress Salaf Fawakhri received the Best Actress award for her role in 'Salma,' while Algerian actor Sami Laïcha won Best Actor for 'The Disappearance.' The festival also highlighted Palestinian cinema, featuring a historical exhibition and 19 films related to the Palestinian cause, drawing significant local audience support.

Despite the celebration, the festival faced criticism over low attendance and protests regarding the honorary presidency given to director Fredi Boughedir, amid allegations of misconduct, which he has denied.
