Uber and Waymo have partnered to launch an exclusive robotaxi service in Austin and Atlanta, starting in early 2025. Uber users in Austin can now sign up for an "interest list" to receive updates and increase their chances of being matched with a Waymo autonomous vehicle at launch. The service will be integrated into the Uber app, with riders paying the same rates as human-driven options.
