Sources close to Brady told Page Six that he is happy for Bündchen and wishes her the best. Another source revealed that Brady reached out to Bündchen to congratulate her. While Brady has not publicly commented on the news, his reaction has been described as one of initial shock followed by acceptance.
Brady and Bündchen, who announced their divorce in October 2022 after 13 years of marriage, share two children: Vivian, 11, and Benjamin, 15. Brady is also a father to John Edward Thomas, 'Jack', with actress Bridget Moynahan.
While Bündchen is embracing a new chapter in her personal life, Brady remains focused on his children and his career. He is set to make his debut as an analyst for Fox Sports at the Super Bowl on February 9th, a significant professional challenge.
Reports surfaced in late October that news of Bündchen's pregnancy had taken Brady by surprise. A source told Page Six that Brady never anticipated Bündchen having a child with her new boyfriend. "Tom knew things were serious between Gisele and Joaquim, but he never imagined they would have a child together," the source said. "It wasn't something that was on his radar. So when Gisele broke the news, he was stunned, to say the least."
The source added that after the initial shock, Brady has come to terms with his ex-wife's new motherhood and is happy for her. "At the end of the day, Tom is solely focused on his kids and his career. What Gisele decides to do with her life is none of his business," the source said.
Meanwhile, the Daily Mail reported in December that Brady had faced some challenges in dating, seemingly struggling to move on from Bündchen's new romance. "Finding out Gisele was pregnant hurt him," a source told the British tabloid. "Tom had to express his feelings about it and he did at the time."
"There aren't many people who see Tom behind closed doors, but those who do can see that he was upset. It was a tough pill to swallow. He never thought something like that would happen," the source added.
"But she's still the mother of two of his children, so he wants her to be happy. He has to move on and, with her being pregnant, he's definitely moved on, so he can't be upset about it anymore. It's out of his control, out of his hands. He's not going to let it affect him anymore," the source concluded.
