The Ukrainian film 'You Are Cosmos,' directed by Pavlo Ostrikov, has garnered significant acclaim, winning awards at two prestigious film festivals. Vladimir Kravchuk received the 'Best Actor' award at the 65th Thessaloniki International Film Festival in Greece for his leading role.
Additionally, the film triumphed at the FilmFestival Cottbus in Germany, securing the award for Best Direction, along with a €7,500 cash prize and the Audience Award.
'You Are Cosmos' tells the story of Andriy, a long-haul truck driver who finds himself as the last living being in the universe after Earth disappears. His life takes a turn when he receives a mysterious communication from Katrin, reigniting hope and connection in the vastness of space.
The film was produced with the support of the State Film Agency of Ukraine and ForeFilms in collaboration with Belgium. It has already won three awards at the Trieste International Film Festival in Italy.
The Ukrainian release of 'You Are Cosmos' is scheduled for spring 2025.
